About Stuart
Thank you for visiting my website. I am currently based in rural Derbyshire. I am inspired by the landscape around me, this is often photographed in Black and White, and evokes a dramatic mood and captures that one moment in time. My work often visits and explores the industrial scars create on the landscape, this either through farming (Trackways and Stonewalls), to lead mining and quarrying.
Once these industries have ceased to trade, nature begins to embrace the remnants of what once was and begins to create a new visual landscape, one that we all take for granted when exploring the footpaths and moors of Derbyshire and the Peak District.
